Getting the design
foundations right
Bringing the site to life was progressive journey. From a Beta version to a launch version there were many iterations, A/B tests and evolutions to help position the brand in-market and activate the brand story.
Cosmic swag
Key art helped create a world around core offerings
By establishing a cleaner visual style for the primary brand illustrations, iconography and core assets the key art blended tertiary palettes bringing a level of complexity and depth to distinguish itself from the lighter functional aesthetic of the core illustration styles.
Making a visual language through illustration
With a retro-inspired space theme, the visual language helped bring dense and technical topics to life with engaging narratives and friendly visual tone.
Mascot's have their special place in the landscape of brands ( e.g. Duolingo). By pulling in the thematic elements of the brand narrative and its core personality traits it made sense to design a friendly mascot to help users navigate complex workflows, features or sticking points throughout the product journey, we named him "Grid Bot".

By creating 0-1 brand, the creative foundations to bring SOG's core offerings, product and site to life became scalable and adaptable. A comprehensive visual language was created for cross channel marketing including guidelines, brand identity, site and product UX/UI along with illustrations and brand colllateral.
